I can use all kinds of software. That was not always the case; however, I am now a frightening user of applications.

The Site Was Built With

BBEdit

Originally, the site was built on Homesite. However, since I've gone to a Mac, I now just work directly in BBEdit.

Paint Shop Pro

Cheap, easy way to manipulate graphics. I did some of the file format changes on PSP.

Gimp

When you can get it to work on Win32, it's a dream. Very powerful, very versatile, very free. Script fu kicks ass. I just have to wear a seat belt when I use it. It's most likely because of my weird PC.

Adobe Photoshop

When you absolutely, postively have to clean up a digital image, there's Photoshop.

WS_FTP

I suppose I could FTP all this stuff up from the command line, but WS_FTP makes it much easier.

Nifty JavaScript Menus

This is a very nice sample JavaScript by Bill Pena on O'Reilly.net. If you like it, you can buy his book Designing with JavaScript, 2nd Edition - – Creating Dynamic Web Pages The buttons are my own - don't blame anyone at O'Reilly for them.

Valueweb

Okay, they're really not software, but they installed all of the software that I'm using onto this server for me. Apache, Free BSD, PHP – it's all here and seems to work okay.

I only find the time to work on this site because I'm no longer spending it playing -

Civilization III

This game has devoured more time than my cable television account. At least Civilization II left your taskbar on the screen; Civilization III covers up everything. I never have any idea of what time it is when I stop playing; however, it's always much later than I think.
